The Centre for Evaluation & Monitoring provides high quality assessments and surveys for NZ primary and secondary schools.This provides schools with sound statistical data for evidence-based decision making, planning, goal setting and reporting. The comprehensive on-line feedback can be used to guide improvements in achievement at the student, subject and school level. Our assessments, surveys and data analysis are based on world leading educational research.

The centre was established in 1999 and administers approximately 70,000 student assessments each year for approximately 350 schools.

Entrance Tests for Year 7 and Year 9

Entrance tests in English, Maths and Reasoning Skills, administered prior to entry into Year 7 or Year 9.

Attitude and Engagement Surveys

Teacher and student attitude and engagement surveys for improving student achievement and school organisation.
